Where's My Wand? by Eric Poole

Eric Poole is a confused young man. He has been bullied his entire life. All he truly wants is to find his place.
He started out extremely religious, and believed that he had magical powers connected with God. Throughout accidents, it seemed as though Eric didn't believe in himself anymore, and didn't believe that God was on his side. I think that he was just scared to reveal anything about himself to the world. I think he was afraid people wouldn't like him. And because of this, he was bullied. The people at his school, I guess, where not used to this secrecy, therefore making fun of it.
I believe that if Eric Poole had believed in himself from the start, not even needing to believe in magic, he would have been stronger in the devastating issues in his younger years.
By the end of the book, I feel that Eric became strong in his both his beliefs, his self confidence, and his feelings about the world.

  1. Hi Annalise,
I really like this blogpost. I like how you put youself in Eric's shoes and said "if" because it opens up a conversation. I've never read this book but I might just give it a go. I love how you added it "(What Doesn't Kill you Makes you)Stronger" because from what you wrote this is a prominent theme. Really good job in my opinion!
