"Magyk" by Angie Sage

Princess Jenna doesn't know what her life is anymore. It seems she can barely trust anyone anymore, let alone let them guide her to safety from the Hunter. But when you think about it, and I mean really think about it, and find the memories that those people have made with you, and think of those happy times, then you can trust again. Though with Jenna, it's like an on and off switch. being in a land of mystery and beasts (and sometimes the beasts are human), she can't find her way around. The lights of joy and safety keep on flickering out, and Jenna must find her way in darkenesse magyk.
I'm not completely sure if she can keep it together. she only has half of her family, and an ExtraOrdinary Wizard that she only met two days ago. I don't think I would be able to understand what was happening, or respond to being a princess. It would be too much to handle, if I were Jenna.
But princesses must be calm and collected, and to make the right and strong decisions.
And I'm no princess.
But Jenna is.

"Magyk" by Angie Sage

Imagine that you're running down the grey streets of the castles' town. You happen to be an ExtraOrdinary Wizard. You're name happens to be Marcia Overstrand. it is a snowy day and you are carrying a baby into the forest, and to place it in the perfect place so that you're "dearest friend", Silas Heap, will happen to walk by this baby, and take it home to his seven children and one wife. You know that you must make Silas promise to keep this baby a secret. for it is the Queens' daughter, and you have just witnessed the murder of both your queen and mentor, yet still managed to save the baby girl, who will one day grow strong and make a wonderful queen, just like her mother.
Ten years go by, and you've managed to continue to keep your secret silent.
But you figure out that you're not the only one who wants the princess. you want her to keep her safe, but the custodian guards need her to complete their mission, to kill her.
Go. run to the Heap family. save your princess Jenna.
well what are you waiting for?!  GO GET HER....
Its' basically like kidnapping. they are after you. all of them.
Even the hunter.
Though Jenna can't part from her family easily, she has a strong tone in her voice. she understands what Needs to be done. she knows that losing to the hunter means death. an pain. and loss. she, and Marcia, Seem to be the only ones who have gotten this looped into their minds.
It's only what's right.

"The Adoration of Jenna Fox" by Mary Pearson

What would it be like if you lost your memory?
What would it be like for the people you once knew?
You would have no idea unless you actually lost it. Or unless you were told a story. You would have to live your life again. You would be pushed to remember things. Just anything. words, letters, faces, places. That sort of thing. It would be like a puzzle. There are so many pieces out there, so many stories just waiting to be put in place. As for the unfortunate pieces that just can't be put together, then they're gone. Maybe forever, but maybe not. You never know with amnesia.
Poor Jenna. Poor Jenna Fox. she doesn't know anything, can't trust anyone, can't remember her own parents. The girl doesn't know anything.
Maybe what she doesn't know can't hurt her.
After all, she is in a mysterious place with mysterious people.
They could have taken her. kidnapped her. Of course she wouldn't think that for a second. They will try to  make it seem like normal, but she wouldn't know that. I feel like there is something wrong with this picture, especially the fact that Jenna's family refuses to tell her anything about the accident.

"She wasn't supposed to survive the accident. But she did."

"Peeled" by Joan Bauer

As you look into the dark house, you realize that you can't see much. The only thing that you can see is a light. No, not a lightbulb light. Just a light. It doesn't show any parts of the house, though. All that the light shows is a face. Now this face isn't just an ordinary face, it is ghostly white, and seems to be in a screaming position. The face enhances you, as well as the light. You walk to the house. Across the lawn. You continue walking all the way up those creaky, chipped stairs until you reach the house - the face - the light -

Hildy Biddle.
Teenage reporter.
Newspaper: The Core
Currently reporting: The Ludlow House

Hildy is an adventurous reporter. When she needs to know something, she'll have it done, no matter what. She lost her father when she was only a little girl, and is now living with her mother, uncle, and cousin. at times you can see her connections with her father, especially when teachers say that she is "exactly like her father". There is a lot of loving loss in her heart, but most of the time she just keeps those feelings to herself. Also, one of the reasons that Hildy got the Ludlow case was probaby because she is the only one who could handle it, being that she was the bravest one in The Core's crew.
